Welcome to the SkillSwap community

Our core principles

  • Respect — treat every person as you want to be treated.
  • Clarity — communicate clearly and honestly.
  • Kindness — learning is vulnerable; be supportive.
  • Fairness — respect time commitments and session agreements.

What’s encouraged

  • Friendly, constructive communication
  • Giving helpful feedback after sessions
  • Showing up on time
  • Being patient with different experience levels
  • Setting a positive and calm tone in video calls

What’s not allowed

  • Harassment, abuse, or rude behaviour
  • Discrimination of any kind
  • Explicit, sexual or suggestive comments
  • Spam, advertising, or selling services
  • Recording sessions without full consent
  • Sharing or requesting personal sensitive data

Respect for time & boundaries

SkillSwap is built on trust. Please avoid last-minute cancellations, repeated no-shows, or ignoring messages for long periods.
