Ways to add Skill Points

You can add Skill Points (SP) to your account in two main ways:

  • One-time top-ups — buy a specific amount of SP when you need it.
  • Subscription plans (if available in your region) — receive SP on a recurring basis plus possible extra features.

All prices, SP amounts and features are shown inside the app on the Wallet screen. They may vary by country, currency and time, so always trust what you see there at the moment of purchase.

How one-time top-ups work

  1. Open the Wallet section inside SkillSwap.
  2. Choose a top-up pack — each pack shows how many SP you'll get and the price.
  3. Confirm your payment method (e.g., bank card or other available options).
  4. Review the summary (price, SP amount, any applicable tax) and press Pay.

After a successful payment, your SP balance updates automatically and you're ready to book sessions.

How subscription plans work

Depending on your region and the current product version, SkillSwap may offer recurring plans that include SP bundles and additional benefits (for example, discounts, extra features or priority support).

On the Plans or Subscriptions section inside the Wallet, you'll see for each plan:

  • The SP amount you receive each billing period
  • The price per period and billing frequency
  • Any extra features or perks included with the plan

Starting a plan

  1. Select the plan you want.
  2. Review the price, SP amount and renewal frequency.
  3. Confirm your payment method and tap Subscribe.

Your first SP bundle is added immediately after successful payment.

Managing or cancelling a plan

You can manage your active subscription from the Profile settings. Depending on the integration and your platform, you may be able to:

  • Change to a different plan
  • Update your payment method
  • Cancel future renewals

When you cancel, you usually keep access and SP for the remainder of the paid period, but future renewals stop. The exact rules are always shown before you confirm a subscription and in the Terms of use.

Checking your SP after a purchase

After any successful top-up or plan renewal, you should see:

  • Your SP balance increase in the navbar or Wallet
  • A transaction entry in your payment history or receipt email

If something doesn't look right

If you don't see your SP after a successful charge, or the amount doesn't match what was shown, keep your receipt and contact hello@skillswap.io.
