In what currency do I pay?

When you buy Skill Points (SP) or start a plan, you pay in a real-world currency (such as EUR, USD or others, depending on your location). The exact currency and amount are always shown on the checkout screen before you confirm.

After payment, you receive SP in your Wallet. Inside the app, you usually see only your SP balance, while payment currency is shown on receipts and in payment summaries.

Exchange rates

If your card or bank account is in a different currency from the one shown at checkout, your bank may convert the amount using its own exchange rate and may apply fees. SkillSwap does not control these rates or extra costs.

For details, check your bank statement or contact your bank directly.

Where to find your receipts

After a successful payment, you may receive an email receipt that includes:

• The amount charged and currency
• The date and time of payment
• A short description (e.g., "SkillSwap SP top-up")
• The last digits of the payment method (for card payments)

Keep these emails for your personal records. Depending on future product updates, you may also see a downloadable invoice or receipt in your account settings or billing section.

Invoices for business use

If you're using SkillSwap for professional or company purposes and need a more detailed invoice, contact hello@skillswap.io with your company details (name, address, tax ID) and information about the relevant payments. Where possible, we'll help provide compliant documentation.

Discrepancies or questions

If a charge on your bank statement doesn't match what you see in SkillSwap or your receipts, please:

1. Check if there are multiple top-ups or plan renewals.
2. Make sure another family member didn't use your account.
3. Contact hello@skillswap.io with details so we can investigate.
